With the change in temperature and the sun making a very welcome appearance, we’ve all been adjusting our wardrobes accordingly and a trend has emerged, which was very apparent on the catwalks this year. Bright, colourful, vibrant and just blooming gorgeous really, the floral print is in full swing for summer!
When we spotted this favourite trend making an appearance on the runways, we got very excited, as this year, designers opted, not just for pretty florals, but punchy, fun, bold and ultra colourful prints, which took the floral trend to a whole new level. No wallflowers here!
Designers proved that florals don’t have to be twee, dainty and girly. In fact, this year with floral prints, the bigger the better! Designers are going for large floral prints that give a really fun 70s vibe. From hand-drawn poppies and oversized blooms to colourful abstract floral prints being a firm favourite.
In fact, floral prints were so popular that they even popped up on the men’s catwalks. Yes boys, we want to see you reaching for the florals too! They were bold on the runway, as well as displaying more subtle, subdued tones.
