A few weeks ago, we teamed up with our friends at Fashion Capital to bring you an exciting design challenge, to get you ready for the summer.
Our free online Swimsuit Design Competition challenged you to come up with a travel inspired print design for our cut and sew swimsuit. Our custom printed swimsuit is the perfect backdrop to showcase designs featuring exotic locations, vibrant and buzzing cities and classic travel iconography.
What were the prizes we hear you ask?
Up for grabs were vouchers to spend on printed fabrics at Bags of Love or Contrado, a custom printed sarong and a personalised beach bag. Also in the £900 prize jackpot were swimsuit cut and sew kits, which allows you to receive your design printed on our exclusive swimsuit pattern, which can then be sewn yourself into your very own designer swimsuit!
Our competition has now closed and the judging panel from Bags of Love, Contrado and Fashion Capital have chosen our top 10 winners. It was an incredibly difficult job choosing from all of the amazing designs, which featured a plethora of travel inspired designs; from beautiful photography to vintage postcards, iconic landmarks to tropical beaches and more.
However, a top 10 had to be chosen and we are now thrilled to share with you the results!
First Place Winner
Our first place winner is Thalia Jane Loonstein with this stunning temple design. Thalia wins our Swimsuit Cut and Sew Kit, our Fabric Swatch Pack with 80+ fabrics, our Custom Printed Sarong, our Personalised Beach Bag and £150 gift voucher to spend on custom printed fabrics. Well done Thalia!
Second Place Winner
Coming in second is Leah Yellowbird, with this enchanting under the sea design. Leah wins; our Swimsuit Cut and Sew Kit, our Fabric Swatch Pack with 80+ fabrics, our Custom Printed Sarong and a £100 gift voucher to spend on custom printed fabrics. Well done Leah!
Third Place Winner
In third place is Carys Griffiths with this serene abstract wave design. Carys wins; our Swimsuit Cut and Sew Kit, our Fabric Swatch Pack with 80+ fabrics, our Custom Printed Sarong and a £50 gift voucher to spend on custom printed fabrics. Well done Carys!
