With summer on its way and the beautiful flower shows on the horizon, Blooming Marvellous is a new, unique competition, which celebrates gorgeous flowers and their impact on the design and creative worlds.
We here at Bags of Love have teamed up with The People’s Print, a collective which celebrate the new era of DIY textile design to bring you this exciting competition.
We want to challenge and inspire our wonderfully creative customers and design folk everywhere, to put your artistic caps on, get a bit more daring, a bit more colourful and create an exciting and beautiful new design for our lovely All Over Printed T-shirt.
Melanie Bowles co-founder of The People’s Print, author and Senior Lecturer at Chelsea College of Arts has created an easy and fun step-by-step tutorial, showing you how to take a gorgeous bunch of flowers and turn them into your very own unique and glorious print, inspired by nature and this SS14’s hottest catwalk trend – floral prints. Once you have completed this fun tutorial, you can then upload your design onto the Bags of Love All Over Printed T-Shirt, to really see your design come to life!
Remember, you don’t need to follow this tutorial exactly – be inspired to create your own beautiful floral, whether it is a multi-coloured design like the one in Melanie’s tutorial, or simply a stunning photo of a flower, which really caught your eye! We can’t wait to see what you come up with.
Winners will be chosen by our expert judging panel, with shares and votes playing an important role in the judging process. Designs must be entered by the date stated above.
We want to reward your creativity and hard work for putting together such beautiful designs, so our expert judging panel will choose 5 winners from the entries, with one overall winner and four runners up.
We have some lovely prizes for you, which we hope will inspire you to keep creating your own designs. All prizes are can be fully customised and personalised by you. You’ll love them even more when you design them yourself!

· Based on questions we receive, we may post modifications or clarifications and correspondence to the requirements on the blog, Facebook or Twitter during the days leading up to the deadline, so check back periodically
