This extravagant handmade-to-order cushion features the "Araber uit den Aanzienlijken stand” character from a hand-colored Karl Joseph Brodtmann stone lithograph from H.R. Schinz's 1840 Naturgeschichte und Abbidungen des Menschen. Brodtmann was part of the post-Linnaean Age of Enlightenment, hand-colouring sets for biologists and the aristocracy. Brodtmann's work displayed a remarkable sense of aesthetics and scientific accuracy. This opulent cushion is available velvet shimmer, Mayfair herringbone, Archway brushed twill or soft velvet fabric in four sizes. Choose from a down feather pad, polyester-fiber filling or just the cover - which has a discreet zipper so it can be removed for dry cleaning.
